As the Senator representing Adamawa North, the People’s Democracy Party (PDP) is seen to be engulfed in a glaring critical situation of internal party squabbles, Ishaku Abbo said an individual has high-jacked the Party’s affairs to his political advantage.

Abbo While calling on the leadership of the National Party to interfere with the ruling party’s current feeble imbroglio positions in the state, he vowed his loyalty to the faction of Dr Ardo, claiming that the movement is on the right track to improve democracy in the state.

While Fielding questions on a local radio program in Yola, Ishaku stressed that the party belongs to its members as a whole and not to a person who used it to achieve the political position.

The Crux of the Party has resulted in having what Abbo said reformed the PDP under the supervision of Dr Umar Ardo, distancing themselves from the led faction of the Barr AT Shehu.

“The fact is that a political party like ours supposed to belong to everyone, especially loyal members as they all contributed in its making from a scratch.”

Abbo said in a situation where the opposition is inevitable or evident after the win at the polls, and somebody is using his power to impose his values on other party members.

rPDP In Adamawa Acknowledges Sen Abbo’s Backing And Charges Membership On Unity

The Adamawa State Reformed Peoples Democratic Party (R / PDP) interim chairman, Alhaji Jauro Hammanjoda Girei, has charged the party’s leaders and supporters with uniting as a formidable force to fight corruption and injustice.

At a press conference in Yola yesterday, Alhaji Jauro Girei stressed that what caused the ongoing failures in the party was unfair treatment of the aggrieved members right from the conduct of party congresses from the wards to the state level.

Girei said that there is no place in the global political scene where you work as a team for your party’s victory only for very few to take over to the detriment of co-travellers and expect peace and harmony to exist calling on stakeholders to do what is necessary to address unnecessary differences.

He also announced that the interim leadership of the party under his watch will soon form three main committees, namely: the Advisory Committee, the Reconciliation Committee and the Disciplinary Committee, with the sole objective of offering the best possible solutions for moving the party as one big family.

He clarified that all party chairmen and secretaries of the twenty-one (21) local government areas in the state will begin registration of membership and issuance of party card in their new rPDP register by tomorrow (Friday).

The chairman added that the registration is optional as anyone with the other faction’s old registration and card in the state can still maintain it since it is the party but is divided only because of a clash of interests.

Hammanjoda commended Dr Umar Ardo’s bold step in challenging the alleged unconstitutional formation of the state exco led by Barrister Shehu Tahir which the government recognizes in the state.

Continuing, Hammanjoda added that just two days ago Senator Ishaku Abbo representing Adamawa Northern District in the Senate declared his hundred per cent support for the course of rPDP publically insisting they are on the right track.

“I want to use this forum to acknowledge the encouraging support we are receiving from all and sundry in the state and beyond in which the latest was from distinguished Senator Abbo who just two days back added his blessings on our movement.

“Ours is to fight the state government under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri but calling for attention with the simple aim righting the wrongs so that peace, harmony and tranquillity can be achieved.

“I believe by the time, we sit on a round table to dialogue over this differences, all interests shall be captured as I know the national secretariat under the leadership of Chief Uche Secondus will do something in addressing it very soon because the party belong to all of us”.Hammanjoda reiterated.
